Connection

Choose the paths a transfer may take. Changes apply to your next session. If the other device picks a stricter option, both follow it.

Relay when neededRecommended

Connects directly when it can. If a network blocks that, an encrypted relay passes the data along without being able to read it. Works almost everywhere. Up to 500 MB of relay per month on this device.

Direct only

Never uses a relay. The devices connect directly, over the internet or on the same network. Strict firewalls and some VPNs will block the connection.

Same network only

Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi or local network. Nothing leaves it, not even to look up your public address.

Safety check

Skip the safety check

Connect without comparing symbols. You lose the proof that no one is intercepting the connection. The other device may still ask to compare them.

Statistics

flies counts sessions and how devices connect, to find and fix what fails. It never collects your files, their names, types or contents, the pairing code or your IP address, and no count can be traced back to you or your device.
